Deacons
Deacons are ordained officers of the church who offer ministries of care, compassion and service. These church members coordinate care and support for members, family and friends of Westminster Presbyterian Church. We are called to be present with and for one another in the midst of life, and so this shared ministry belongs to everyone who is part of our faith community. Questions? Deacons provide a ministry of care and support to the congregation:
Deacons focus on meeting both physical and spiritual needs of those in their assigned care groups and in the local community.
Deacons make a concerted effort to keep members informed of ongoing changes and opportunities and to keep the church office and pastor updated on changing member situations and needs as appropriate.
They pray for and reach out to church members, regular attenders, and others through phone calls, emails, cards, flowers, visits and other demonstrations of concern, love, and support.
