All for God’s children

Our purpose in our Westminster Children’s Ministry is to provide a safe, healthy and spiritually enriching environment for your infant or child, so that you may feel confident leaving your child in the care of our Children’s Ministry staff or in a Sunday school class. We pray that you and your child will be blessed at Westminster Presbyterian Church. May you both know the love and care of God through our efforts to serve you.

If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact Eileen Helm, Director of Children’s Ministries.

Four-year-olds through 2nd graders attend the first part of either worship service with their parents. Following the children’s sermon, they are excused with their teachers for Sunday Celebration, a time of Bible stories and crafts. Parents may pick their children up following worship in room 45 on the lower level.

Pre-kindergartners through 5th graders attend Worship Centers on Sunday mornings during the school year, 10–11 a.m. Bible stories are taught using Montessori teaching methods and three-dimensional models and figures. Children have opportunities each week for hands-on learning using these figures and models. The classes also tie in with many practices of the Sunday worship services.
