Westminster Presbyterian Church is vital in the lives of its members. The quality of the preaching, music, education, outreach, and fellowship provide inspiration, comfort, and deep personal satisfaction. By including Westminster in your estate plan, this special relationship will continue.
Remember the Westminster Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund of Westminster Presbyterian Church was established to help ensure the future of this church. The fund is slowly inching up to the $150,000 needed for the fund to be available for Church needs. Since Westminster is my surrogate extended family, I decided to remember the Endowment
Fund in my estate plan. There are as many reasons for remembering Westminster in your plans as there are families in the church. For me the camaraderie of the Chancel Choir and the great meals at Wednesday Night Live! are reason enough to want to see the future of Westminster ensured. A wonderful staff and the entire congregation are so supportive in times of need. And there are the little things, such as an annual birthday card from the Bortons.
You may feel, given the unsettled economic times, that making any financial commitment is difficult. I understand very well your thinking. As a recently retired public librarian, I knew that I could not make a bequest to Westminster of a specific amount of money, since who knows what my future will bring. So I decided that all of my bequests would be stated as a percentage
of my estate. By doing this I have ensured that all of the important people and organizations in my life will receive something from my estate. A small annual gift given at this time will help the Endowment Fund reach the needed $150,000, but remembering the Endowment Fund in your estate planning is one way to help ensure the future of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Thank you for considering our church in your estate planning.
Yours in Christ,
Richard LeSueur
